Excelsior Stadium Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Liam Brindle as Head of Community Development. A well known face at the stadium, Liam is also chairman of Airdrie United Boys Club and has also worked with Gretna & Falkirk in their respective Youth Development projects.
Liam is an SFA qualified children and youth coach and his role at the stadium will be to develop football related initiatives for children and adults with a view to the stadium becoming a community based sports facility.
His role will also include involvement in the operation of the new 5 aside complex where he will be setting up 5 aside leagues with his own personal aim of setting up an Airdrie United supporters league and an over 35s league.
The position will also see Liam interface between fans groups to help the stadium become a focal point for social and fundraising events both on match days and during the week.
