Airdrie United rounded off the season in a match no one will be able to put down as a dull end of the season affair. Scott Sally's late goal gave Airdrie a share of the points against East Fife at New Broomfield and saw the Diamonds finish 6th in the league table. David Muir put the visitors ahead in the 33rd minute with a cool finish, but the Diamonds were level before half-time thanks to Ryan McCord's reply.
The second half was end to end and it was the Fifers who on 64 minutes took the lead when Steven Hislop stabbed home Muir's cross from six yards. But Sally turned homeJamie Stevenson's low cross in the 83rd minute to equalise.
