Airdrie United left it late to secure a point in a game packed full of incident.  Mark Roberts had put Ayr United into a two goal lead in a match that also saw Jamie Bain red carded midway through the 1st half.   Ayr United were then reduced to 10 men in the 81st minute when keeper David Crawford saw red for a challenge on Ryan Donnelly inside the box which also saw the referee award Airdrie a penalty.  Local lad Ryan Wallace kept his head to pull one back for the young diamonds before Ryan Donnelly grab a dramatic equaliser with only 5 minutes of the game remaining.  In the 90th minute referee Nicholls took out his red card again when he adjudged a Ryan Wallace challenge to be a professional foul.
