Airdrie United 0 Dunfermline 1 PDF Print E-mail

Airdrie ended the league campaign with a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Dunfermline.  With Ayr United losing also Airdrie's recent good form has resulted in a play-off place being secured.

Kenny Black started with the same line up that returned from Kirkcaldy with all 3 points, which saw Lee Hollis again take charge in goal.  Bobby Donnelly returned to the bench and Kenny Watt was added also to give an additional attacking option.

In a game of few talking points it was Nick Phinn who scored the only goal of the game 8 minutes before the breakfor the Fifers.   Ryan McCann's effort in the 49th minute which re-bounded off the bar was the best effort on the day for the Diamonds.
