A double from Alan Trouten helped Airdrie on there way to record their 1st victory of the season and lift them off the bottom of the table. With both teams desparate for the 3 points the early exchanges were tense but it was Airdrie who got in front in 35 minutes when Craig Samson spilled a cross ball and Trouten was on hand to put the diamonds in front.
The lead however was pegged back on the stroke of half time when Ryan McCann fired into his own net. The second half Airdrie dominated from the start and took the lead again in 64 minutes when Diarmuid O'Carroll fired home a Ricky Waddell cross. 9 minutes later Alan Trouten got his second when a good run allowed him time to pick his spot and give Airdrie some breathing space. A good win and a well deserved 3 points for Airdrie.
