In a match that Airdrie had chances to win, they had to settle for a draw and a share of the points.  Dundee took the lead in 36minutes with a strike from Colin McMenamin but the equaliser came in the 42nd minute following a penetrating run from Darren Smith.  His low struck cross into the box was deflected into the Dundee net off Jim Lauchlan.
