Following on from Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Alloa manager Jimmy Boyle takes his diamonds north this Saturday to face Peterhead in the Scottish Week Challenge Trophy, ko 3pm.

Manager Boyle was happy with the performance on Tuesday and said it was a good workout for his team.  In an even first half chances were limited. Ryan Donnelly was unkucky not to open the scoring following an excellent knock down by Derek Holmes mid way through the half.  He was not to be out-done though and got on the end of an error in the Alloa defence mid way through the second half to put Airdrie in front.  Alloa equalised 5 minutes from time with a fine strike from the edge of the box.  Slight worries for Jimmy when in the 1st half Sean Lynch and Graeme Owens both limped off with injuries.
