AIRDRIE HOST PARTICK THISTLE THIS WEEKEND PDF Print E-mail
Kenny BlackKenny Black looks forward to this weeks match and the close of the transfer window.

Our display last Saturday was very pleasing and no-one could deny our right to the 3 points, we dominated the game throughout and totally deserved our win. The run we are on is building confidence and we are getting back into the mix with our recent form. The Dundee match was pleasing from a Managers point of view, when players put the week's coaching into practice and we play in the manner we are trying to instil, when it comes off, it makes it all worthwhile.

Midweek saw us head up to Broadwood for a reserve game which we lost 2 - 3, Stephen McGuire netted both our goals in a game which gave competitive football to a few of the lads who haven't featured lately. Lovers put in another 80 minutes or so and put himself back into contention for this Saturday.

I have a full squad to choose from with no injuries or suspensions to consider.

Ian McCall's Thistle sit in 3rd spot and if we can take the points it is possible to get ourselve off the bottom spot whilst Partick will have an eye on the second spot.

Meanwhile, the transfer window closes on Monday night and these days it usually goes to the last minute before anything is concluded.

Get along on Saturday afternoon and enjoy what should be a cracker of a tie.
