 A second half strike from Scott Gemmell saw Airdrie in to the 2nd round of the Co-opearative Insurance Cup.
His strike in the 67th minute secured the 1-0 win over local rivals Albion Rovers in a game with few goalscoring opportunities. The win will be a great confidence boost for Jimmy Boyles young squad ahead of next weeks opening league fixture. |

Signing News. Last night the Loan paperwork was completed to bring Midfielder Ryan McCord from Dundee United till the end of the year. Ryan played in the midweek game against Partick Thistle and we hope that his inclusion will furtherstrengthen the Squad. Ex Dunfermline under 19 player Harry McGregor also put pen to paper in a deal that will see him join us till the end of the year. We look forward to seeing both players on Saturday.
